DURATION: 9 hours

Our journey begins south of Moab on Highway 191, taking us past one of Utah’s first and still-operational ranches before we enter the Needles District near Church Rock. We'll make one short stop at the famous Newspaper Rock petroglyph site before heading to the Needles Visitor Center. After leaving the pavement at Salt Creek, we soon arrive at Paul Bunyan’s Potty, the most famous arch in Horse Canyon. 

Shortly after this, we’ll reach a viewing area where we can take in the impressive Tower Ruin from below. It’s remarkable to look up at this ancient structure and imagine the people who climbed to and from this remote site to build it, live here, and make use of it.

Midday, we stop for a delightful picnic lunch. Our seasoned guides are eager to share their knowledge of the area's rich human and natural history with you. They will lead you to several more highlights, including hikes to the impressive Castle or Fortress Arch.
