Embark on the Rock of Ages adventure, a canyoneering route that transports you back in time through a breathtaking landscape of ancient fins and mesmerizing petrified dunes.

DURATION: 7 hours

This journey is a continuous obstacle course of natural excitement, beginning with an engaging ascent up the Pritchett Canyon 4x4 Road toward a deep, narrow canyon. Our trip immediately ramps up the action with several minor obstacles on the way up, requiring us to rope up for thrilling vertical moves. As you climb out the top, be sure to turn and soak in the majestic sight of Chimney Arch and the magnificent valley spreading out below.

Pushing deeper, we encounter the surprising grandeur of Pool Arch, whose opening soars an incredible 90 feet high. The drainage eventually hooks around to the south, leading us into an inspiring, short section of slot canyon—a twisting, narrow passage that may involve wading through several potholes. This dramatic section culminates in our first major descent: an exhilarating 50-foot rappel. From the bottom, the canyon sweeps south, bringing us to the crown jewel of the trip: a spectacular 100-foot rappel! 

The lower half of this drop is a thrilling free-hanging descent that delivers you gently into a secluded, lush grotto—a true hidden oasis. We conclude our memorable 5-mile journey by hiking the 4x4 trail back to Moab, leaving you with incredible memories of this dynamic and unique route.

Important Note for Adventurers: This is a physically demanding and rewarding route! Participants must be in good physical condition and ready for strenuous activity. Prepare to conquer short up-and-down climbs, master the specialized skill of stemming (using your hands and feet to brace across tight spaces), traverse steep, uneven surfaces, and even swim if pools are too deep to walk across or get around.
