DURATION: 2 Days

Pack your provided dry bag and get ready to have fun. A short shuttle ride along Scenic Byway 128, locally known as the River Road, brings us to our launch site on the Colorado River. Over the next two days we will travel 24 miles by river.

Professional guides introduce you to your new settings, and key you into a few safety concerns.  Some choose to ride in inflatable kayaks, while others hop on the oar boat. We'll stop for lunch on the river's edge where your guide will serve a tasty buffet style picnic lunch. After eating we'll explore a side canyon only accessible by river.

Late afternoon, just before the shadows march across the canyon walls we find camp on one of the river's sandy beaches. You can relax and enjoy the sunset as your guides cook a hearty western-style meal. After dinner look for dessert to be baked in a dutch oven. Enjoy solitude, beauty, and the soothing sound of a living river as day turns to night.

After breakfast we pack up and continue on. Traveling along the river today, several splashy rapids provide a little rock and roll to the classic western vistas. Between rapids there is time for picture taking and swim breaks. Our skilled and professional guides are well versed in the human and natural history of the Colorado River. After another delicious lunch on the river, our trip concludes at Takeout Beach where our shuttle awaits to bring us the short way back to Moab.
