Hidden away from the crowds in the backcountry of Arches National Park are gorgeous views, towering monuments, and of course….arches! You’ll get to experience wonders on our scenic, backcountry 4x4 tour and learn about the unique history, geology, flora and fauna!

Trip Details

DURATION: 5 hours

We’ll start our adventure off by using a historic 4x4 trail that leads us into the back door of the national park. Along the way, we’ll stop and take a glimpse deep into the past and view some real dinosaur tracks! After entering the park, we’ll stop off for a quick restroom break and an incredible view of the famous Balanced Rock with the Windows and La Sal Mountains as the backdrop.

From there, we’ll utilize the park’s main road to access our next backcountry route. 

Once there, we’ll see the iconic Tower Arch with an optional hike that’s a moderate quarter mile. We'll continue our journey and pass by the Marching Men Towers and enjoy the thrilling 4x4 route that winds through the scenic backcountry.

Our next destination is Eye of the Whale Arch, with an easy quarter mile walk to it. This arch is one of the few “tunnel style” arches in the park which makes it extra special! After our backcountry loop, we’ll exit the park via the main entrance.
