Sea of Cortez

You'll see more on this trip than virtually any other expedition to Baja's Sea of Cortez. NAVTEC's RHIBs (rigid hull inflatable boats) provide a bold and exciting way to explore remote islands and the 125 miles of rugged coastline between Loreto and La Paz. No other craft have the same range and seaworthiness. That's why the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy rely on RHIBs.

Our trip begins in Loreto, where you you'll meet NAVTEC's U.S and local guides at beachfront hotel accommodation on the first night. Then we're off on a marine adventure!

Sierra de la Giganta

We follow the coastline, flanked by the 5,000 ft. Sierra de la Giganta mountain range. As we travel south we explore remote, uninhabited islands. Like the Galapagos, they have an otherworldly appearance and harbor plant and animal species found nowhere else on earth. We visit Isla Monserrate, Bahia Aqua Verde, Isla San Jose, Isla Pardito, Los Islotes, Isla Partida and Espiritu Santo.

NAVTEC's RHIBs allow us to see dolphins and sea birds at close range and sight the Fin Back and Blue whales that frequent these waters.

Exploring the coastline

Our itinerary provides time to snorkel, fish, hike or relax at camp on Baja's white sand beaches.
