Doc J.W. Williams in Arches N.P. at the age of 100

He fell in love with the redrock country and spent a lifetime enlisting local residents, senators and presidents to make Arches a national monument.

When he died at the age of 103, Doc Williams was recognized as the Father of Arches National Park. His dream had become a reality.

My mother and father spent decades further exploring and showing people Canyonlands and Baja. They traveled by foot, jeep, raft and aircraft. For three generations our family has taken visitors to the remote and isolated rivers of the Colorado Plateau and the backcountry of Baja, Mexico.
